Bienvenidos! Happy Holidays!

Historic Olvera Street, near Downtown Los Angeles, is celebrating “Las Posadas,” a beautiful presentation of the nine-day journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem.  The event is reenacted every evening from December 16 to 24 with singing, a candlelight procession and the breaking of the piñata.  Bring your family and friends and visit with our families and friends during this holiday season. (See our calendar of events below for times.)

Earlier this month, December 11 and 12, we commemorated the miracle of “La Virgen De Guadalupe.” Families brought their children dressed-up in authentic costumes throughout the day and night as they enjoyed the festivities on Olvera Street.  We will be adding photographs of the event online later in the week for you to view.

Additionally, Olvera-Street.com has a new page, “Events Around Town,” to highlight events in our community. If you know of an event, please visit Olvera-Street.com to submit it!  We are currently developing much more for our visitors; we will also have an “Employment Opportunity” page and a children’s section coming soon. Bookmark Olvera-Street.com and visit us often to find out about the latest arts, fundraisers, business mixers, screenings and much more.

Please forward this E-newsletter to anyone you feel might be interested. Below is a list of Olvera Street Fiestas for the month of December. We hope you will join us during the wonderful holidays and celebrate with us.

May all your wishes and dreams come true.

Feliz Navidad!
