The Jalisco Festival, sponsored by the Mexican Cultural Institute, will be held on Saturday, June 11 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. The art exhibit and festival celebrates the folklore of the state of Jalisco, Mexico.

|
The United Methodist Church 106th Anniversary will be on Saturday, June 18, 2005 from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the Plaza.

|
The Mexican Cultural Institute presents the MCI Summer Film Series at El Pueblo Historical Monument with screenings on Friday evenings at 7:45 p.m. beginning June 24th through August 19th. The outdoor screenings of 10 new films, from well-known Mexican directors, are subtitled and sponsored by the Mexican Consulate. For more information please call (213) 628-1274. Admission is free.

The Bienvenidos Children's Center Health Fair celebrates the health and well-being of Latino men and their families on Sunday, June 26, 2005 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at El Pueblo Historical Monument. The Border Video Art Festival, sponsored by the Mexican Cultural Institute, will be on Saturday, July 23, 2005 from 11 a.m.- 10 p.m. This event includes screenings and discussions about video art with young Latino artists from Los Angeles and Tijuana, Mexico.

The Wells Fargo Summer Music Festival 2005 begins on Sunday, July 31st from 1-5 p.m. at the El Pueblo Historical Monument Plaza (Olvera Street) and continues on the following three Sundays - August 7th, 14th & 21st. For more information please call (213) 628-1274. Admission is free.

The following exhibits just opened at the Chinese American Museum at El Pueblo Historical Monument: Impressions: Milton Quon's Los Angeles featuring the work of Chinese American artist Milton Quon. Quon began his career with Walt Disney Studios in 1939 helping to animate the original Fantasia and Dumbo films. Through January 2006. A Portrait of My Mother by Sam Boi Lee who is an emerging Los Angeles-based Chinese American photographer. Exhibition will continue through January 2006.
