The festival launches on Jul. 31 with the exotic tropical sounds of Charanga Cubana, Rumba Show and Sonora Dynamita. On Aug. 7, Noe Sandoval with Mariachi Nuevo Amanecer and Ricardo Duque with Mariachi Mexico Colonial will present an afternoon of traditional Mexican music and folkloric dance. The music festival concludes Aug. 21 with a “Blast to the Past” theme including popular music groups Alma Chicana, Undercovergirls and Aftermidnight.
“Wells Fargo is proud to present the Summer Concert Series for the fourth consecutive year because it gives Los Angeles an opportunity to celebrate its rich Latino culture and heritage which we believe serves to further strengthen our community,” said Jerry Ruiz, Wells Fargo Community Development Manager for Los Angeles. “Every summer we see entire families come out together to enjoy the live music and to learn about financial services.”
Wells Fargo representatives will be available to open new accounts and answer questions about banking services, mortgages and money management during the hours of the Music Festival.
“This is a great opportunity for the Monument to showcase the incredible musical talent of the Latin American community in Los Angeles,” said Rushmore Cervantes, General Manager of El Pueblo Historical Monument. “The diverse musical lineup this year has something for everyone. It’s the perfect reason for families to come to Olvera Street and spend a Sunday afternoon in the plaza.”
