OUR LOCATION:


World Famous Olvera Street and El Pueblo Historical Monument are centrally located in downtown Los Angeles just north of the Hollywood 101 Freeway, two blocks from Los Angeles City Hall. You will find us just across the street from the Union Station and Metro Line.

TAKING THE METRO RAIL LINE: 

Los Angeles has a new commuter rail system linking Union Station to many parts of the City. Union Station is across Alameda Street from El Pueblo/Olvera Street providing convenient access for all activities. The Red Line, the Gold Line, the Blue Line, and the Green Line provide access directly to El Pueblo. Using the bus system, Metro Link and the rail services together makes traveling to

TAKING A BUS:

Take any bus that stops at the Plaza and any of the following: Main Street, Los Angeles Street, Arcadia Street, Alameda Street or Cesar Chavez Boulevard. The Big Blue Bus from Santa Monica stops close by on Temple Street. Many buses also stop at Union Station that is just across the street from El Pueblo and Olvera Street. The DASH bus connects downtown Los Angeles, Little Tokyo, Chinatown and the financial district to El Pueblo with DASH buses stopping every 10 minutes and costing only 25 cents. PARKING:

There are 5 parking lots at El Pueblo. We recommend lots 1, 2, and 3. Lots 1 and 2 are on Main Street. Lot 3 is on Alameda Street. Click here to see the site map showing parking lot locations. You will find Olvera Street by Alameda and Cesar E. Chavez Avenue.

From East San Fernando Valley, Burbank, Glendale, Pacoima, Sunland:


Take the Golden State Freeway (U.S Interstate 5) south to Elysian Park. From the right two lanes transition south to the Pasadena Freeway (U.S. Interstate 110) south and continue for 3 miles. From the right lane, transition to the Hollywood Freeway (U.S. Interstate 101) south and continue for .2 miles. Take the Broadway Street exit and continue east on to Aliso Street (one way east) for 4 blocks. Turn left on Main Street (one way north) and continue north for one to two blocks. Park just past Arcadia Street in either Lot 1 or Lot 2. Both are located on the left side of Main Street.

 

From Pasadena, Altadena, San Marino, Santa Anita:

 

Take the Pasadena Freeway (U.S. Interstate 110) south to downtown Los Angeles. From the right lane, transition to the Hollywood Freeway (U.S. Interstate 101) south and continue for one-quarter of a mile. Take the Broadway Street exit and continue east on to Aliso Street (one way east) for 3 blocks. Turn left on Main Street (one way) and continue north for one to two blocks. Park just past Arcadia Street in either Lot 1 or Lot 2. Both are located on the left side of Main Street.

 

From Alhambra, Industry, Whittier, San Bernardino County:


Take the Pomona Freeway (U.S. Interstate 10) west. Transition to the Golden State Freeway (U.S. Interstate 5) north. Continue north, transition to the Hollywood Freeway (U.S. Interstate 101) north. Continue for 2 miles. From the right lane take the Alameda Street exit and continue west on Arcadia Street for one block past Alameda Street. Turn right on Los Angeles Street going north and park in Lot 4 immediately on the right, OR continue west on Arcadia Street and turn right on Main Street (one way north) going north. Park just past Arcadia Street in either Lots 1 or Lot 2. Both are located on the left side of Main Street.

 

From Orange County, Downey:


Take the Golden State/San Diego Freeway (U.S. Interstate 5) north to downtown Los Angeles. Continue north on Interstate 5 and transition to the Hollywood 101 Freeway north. Continue for 2 miles. From the right lane take the Alameda Street exit and continue west on Arcadia Street for one block past Alameda Street. Turn right on Los Angeles Street going north and park in Lot 4 immediately on the right, OR continue west on Arcadia Street for one more block past Los Angeles Street and turn right on Main Street (one way north) going north. Park just past Arcadia Street in either Lots 1 or Lot 2. Both are located on the left side of Main Street.

 

From Long Beach, Inglewood:


Take the Harbor Freeway Interstate 110 north to downtown Los Angeles. Move to the right lane after passing the 4th Street exit and transition to the Hollywood Freeway (U.S. Interstate 101) south and continue for one-quarter of a mile. Take the Broadway Street exit and continue east on to Aliso Street (one way east) for 4 blocks. Turn left on Main Street (one way) and continue north for one to two blocks. Park just past Arcadia Street in either Lot 1 or Lot 2. Both are located on the left side of Main Street.

 
From LAX, Rancho Palos Verdes:


Take Interstate 405 north. From the right lane, transition east to Interstate 10 going east. Continue for 12 miles to downtown Los Angeles. From the left lane, transition north to Interstate 110 going north. Move to the right lane after passing the 4th Street exit and transition to the Hollywood Freeway (U.S. Interstate 101) south and continue for one-quarter of a mile. Take the Broadway Street exit and continue east on to Aliso Street (one way east) for 4 blocks. Turn left on Main Street (one way north) and continue north for one to two blocks. Park just past Arcadia Street in either Lot 1 or Lot 2. Both are located on the left side of Main Street.

 

From Santa Monica, Venice:


Take Santa Monica Freeway (U.S. Interstate 10) east to downtown Los Angeles. From the left lane, transition north to Interstate 110 going north. Move to the right lane after passing the 4th Street exit and transition to the Hollywood Freeway (U.S. Interstate 101) south and continue for one-quarter of a mile. Take the Broadway Street exit and continue east on to Aliso Street (one way east) for 4 blocks. Turn left on Main Street (one way north) and continue north for one to two blocks. Park just past Arcadia Street in either Lot 1 or Lot 2. Both are located on the left side of Main Street.

 

From West San Fernando Valley, Chatsworth:


Take U.S Interstate 405 south. From the right lane transition to the Santa Monica Freeway (U.S. Interstate 10) east. Take Santa Monica Freeway (U.S. Interstate 10) east for 12 miles to downtown Los Angeles. From the left lane, transition north to Interstate 110 going north. Move to the right lane after passing the 4th Street exit and transition to the Hollywood Freeway (U.S. Interstate 101) south and continue for one-quarter of a mile. Take the Broadway Street exit and continue east on to Aliso Street (one way east) for 3 blocks. Turn left on Main Street (one way north) and continue north for one to two blocks. Park just past Arcadia Street in either Lot 1 or Lot 2. Both are located on the left side of Main Street.

 

From Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Hollywood:


Take the Hollywood Freeway U.S Interstate 101 south to downtown Los Angeles. Take the Broadway Street exit and continue east on to Aliso Street (one way east) for 3 blocks. Turn left on Main Street (one way north) and continue north for one to two blocks. Park just past Arcadia Street in either Lot 1 or Lot 2. Both are located on the left side of Main Street.
